wahaha. 2dae i went to fullerton hotel with my ah ma to have dinner. yarhs. she was invited by one of her old fren to her son's wedding dinner. and as usual, i went in the place of my ah gong.
the food there was heavenly. altho its my 2nd time at fullerton, but its my 1st time eating the food there. its simply heavenly. no words to describe. oh the only food there dat i dislike is the fishball-cum-egg white thingy. bloody hell. it taste like some sort of failed experiment out of a chem lab sial. dam disgusting. altho i dunno why sum 1 invented dat food. i almost threw up wadeva i ate b4 da fishball thingy. it looks like a big marshmellow covered with soup at first, it feels soft too, but after u ate it, u will have a different thinking. like the old saying oways sae, 'never judge a book by its cover'. lols.
first up was the so-called restaurant-style rojak. i dunno wads da name for it but its a dish which comprises of many different types of other dishes in it, which also has the fishball thingy. *yuck* den my table only has 8 ppl out of 11 ppl, so we had 2 extra servings. at the table was me, my ah ma, a family of 3, and 3 elderly ladies. and sadly to sae, which i dunno why too, one of da servings was pushed to be by the father of the family of 3. lols. thus i add the other food other den the yucky fishball thingy.
2nd dish was shark fin!! hahas. but sadly, mine contained very little sharkfin but alot of sea cucumber. and another bowl was pushed to me, but this time, by one of the elderly ladies. TT. hello~ do i look like im underfed or malnutritioned? but luckily, da 2nd bowl contained way more sharkfin den my first.
next dish was fish. i think it was cod. yes altho i hate eating fish alot, but i juz lurved this fish becoz its tasty and boneless ^^. and as u guessed, i ate 2 servings of it. -.-
4th dish was abalone with broccoli. i 4gt wads da name dey put on da menu, its those type whr it makes u wanna drool and eat juz by hearing it. lols. so i ate oni the abalone coz i dun like broccoli. but this time, when dey pushed da extra serving to me, i told dem to eat it coz i dun wanna eate all the gud food, muz share amongst us. see i so gud rite? hahas. eventually, da family of 3 took both servings as the ladies din wan ani.
up next was ducky cooked in dang gui and hua diao jiu. it was yummy but there were bones in some meat, thus, i din ate those with bones. dun wanna dirty my hands. yes. -.- i ate 2 servings agn. haiz.
next on da menu was 8 treasures fried rice in lotus leaf. initialy i tot it was a yummy dish due to the name, BUT, when da dish came, it was no diff from 'he bao fan' (normal lotus leaf rice). bloody hell sial. luckily, i needed to ans the call of nature, so i escaped da fate of having another serving on my plate. hahas.
by the time i came back, it was time for dessert!! hahas. the one and only dish i have been expecting for. ^^ (well, who wouldn't?) it was strawberry pudding!! Mm mm. Muy delicioso (delicious in spanish). after finishing the dessert, took my bag and headed out for the exit as it was late and my ah ma dun wan to reach home dam late. thus we took the cab. hahas.
wah lao. the cab driver dam blur larhs. he press the button which indicates normal journey which was only 2.80 with no extra charges, den he remebers dat we are in da city, so he changed back. and an extra 3 bucks appeared beside the meter. -.-. if oni he din remebered. lols.
